Today when I dropped Bubba off at work, Henry pointed at his office building and said, "Daddy's house." Not sure that we heard him correctly, we asked him what he said. "Daddy's house," he replied again. "No," we explained, "that's Daddy's office. Daddy's work." But as Bubba stepped out of the car he said it again. "Daddy's house." We laughed, but it was the kind of laughter you usually reserve for news that is depressingly true, like finding out you've gained 80 pounds during your pregnancy or that the rate for your insurance policy has increased 25% because of that accident you were in last month. Something that you know but don't know until someone points it out to you with startling clarity.

Does Bubba really work that much? A statement like that from such a lil' guy does make you kind of sad. You always hope they are oblivious to certain things. Now that Jer is the EQ Pres at church, Griffin has gone from saying "Dada's at work" to "Dada's at a meeting."
But on a happier note, we can't wait to see you next month! Hopefully I-80 will be free and clear of water by then.
It's hard when they're gone that much. I remember when I worked FT at Discover card and realized I spent more time there than I did at home, slightly depressing!
It was fun talking to you today, and I want to support you in the purchase of a new phone, you can do it, you know you want to.
So true. For Father's Day the primary asked all the kids questions about their dads. In response to "What is your dad's favorite thing to do?" McKay answered Go to work and Kimball answered Watch TV. I laughed but Seth didn't think it was funny.
Well his "house" looks pretty cool. I am going to miss you this weekend. Mike is way excited. I hope he has your number on the cell phone because I don't know if I have it here. You guys have the cell phone number right?
Henry is the cutest!!
We finally got internet after being deprived for about a month and one of the first things I wanted to do was check out updates on your blog. Henry is so cute. It is so weird how kids totally tranform so fast. He doesn't look muck like that tiny olive skinned, black haird little bundle I met almost 2 years ago. Cool office building.
Kids have the knack for just calling things as they see them. Which is all fine and good and can even be cute actually until they do it about something in your life. Darn kids. :)
