I must confess, I have become a little bit addicted to the radio show This American Life. Our friends Jenny and Matt urged us to listen to it several times, but Bubba and I thought to ourselves, "A radio show?"
Yes, a radio show. It is so good that I can seldom get through without laughing, crying, or both. I could go on, but instead I'll direct you to Jenny's blog post about the show: http://jennyselsewhere.blogspot.com/2007/09/this-americans-life.html. This post finally motivated me to listen to the show, and I have been listening to archived programs non-stop ever since. You can also visit the show's website at http://www.thisamericanlife.org/.
If you've never listened to the program, turn off the t.v. one night this week and try it out. I promise you will be entertained.

Kim, I read that post awhile back and I checked it out and will agree it is good stuff! I tagged you, please play! Check out my blog.
You persuaded me to turn over to rottentomatoes.com, so maybe this will work magic for us, too. [I still don't know about "The Anchorman," though.]
I love that you are hooked on Ira.
I don't know why but in my mind he looks like Mo Rocca so I always have to do a double take.
Anyhow none of that matters, what really matters is that you are listening!
I love that show!
I will definitely check it out. I am addicted to CarTalk and have been for five years. If you haven't heard it, check it out. It's on NPR on Saturday mornings and you will find yourself laughing at Click and Clack--and maybe learning something about cars, people, and life in general. I plan Saturday morning errands around this radio show.
